Our Policy

Stille provides professional massage treatments for relaxation, wellbeing and muscular tension relief. Treatments are not medical care, diagnosis, physiotherapy, psychological therapy or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

1. Health, Medical Information and Allergies

Clients are responsible for informing Stille in advance of any health, medical or physical information that may affect the suitability of massage. This includes medical conditions, injuries, chronic pain, recent operations, pregnancy, medication, allergies, skin sensitivity, infections, contagious illness, heart or circulation issues, blood pressure concerns, cancer treatment, recent illness, or any other condition that may affect treatment.

Clients must notify Stille in advance of any allergies, allergens or sensitivities, including sensitivities to specific oils or essential oils.

Where there is any doubt about whether massage is suitable, the client must seek advice from their doctor or relevant healthcare professional before booking or attending.

By attending the appointment, the client confirms that the information provided is accurate and complete. Stille cannot be held responsible for issues arising from information that has not been disclosed, has been withheld, or has been provided incorrectly.

2. Right to Refuse, Adapt or Stop Treatment

Stille reserves the right to refuse, postpone, adapt or stop any treatment where it is considered unsuitable, unsafe or inappropriate.

This may include medical concerns, contraindications, illness, poor hygiene, intoxication, inappropriate behaviour, disrespectful conduct, or any situation where the therapist does not feel comfortable or safe continuing the treatment.

If a treatment is stopped due to inappropriate behaviour, the full appointment fee remains payable.

3. Professional Massage Only

Stille provides strictly professional massage services only.

Any sexual, suggestive, inappropriate, disrespectful or non-professional request, comment, gesture, behaviour or contact will not be tolerated. The treatment will end immediately, the full fee will remain payable, and further action may be taken if necessary, including refusal of future appointments and/or reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities.

4. Client Responsibility During Treatment

Clients are responsible for communicating during the treatment if they experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, nausea, emotional distress, or if the pressure, position or technique does not feel suitable.

The treatment can be adjusted or stopped at any time. If the client does not communicate discomfort, the therapist will understand that the treatment may continue as discussed and adapted.

5. Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is available from the second trimester, provided the pregnancy is progressing normally.

Pregnancy must be disclosed at the time of booking. The client must also inform Stille of any pregnancy-related complications, high-risk factors, discomfort, medical advice or concerns.

If there is any uncertainty, the client must obtain approval from their doctor, midwife or healthcare provider before attending. Stille reserves the right to refuse or postpone pregnancy massage if it is not considered appropriate or safe.

6. Cancellations, Changes and No-Shows

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or no shows will be charged in full. Future bookings may be refused until any outstanding cancellation or no-show fee has been paid.

Exceptions may be considered at Stille’s discretion in genuine emergency situations.

7. Late Arrival

If the client arrives late, the treatment may be shortened to avoid delaying other appointments or extending the therapist’s working day.

The full appointment fee remains payable. If the client arrives too late for the treatment to take place, this may be treated as a late cancellation.

8. Payment

Payment is due at the appointment unless paid in advance.

Prices are confirmed at the time of booking. Special offers, discounts or promotional prices apply only under the stated conditions and cannot be applied retrospectively.

9. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending the appointment. Stille is not responsible for lost, damaged or forgotten items unless caused by proven fault.

10. Respectful Environment

Stille aims to provide a calm, respectful and safe environment.

Aggressive, intimidating, discriminatory, intoxicated, inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of treatment or future bookings.

11. Aftercare

Any aftercare advice provided is general wellbeing guidance only and is not medical advice.

Clients remain responsible for listening to their body and seeking medical attention if they experience unusual, severe or ongoing symptoms after treatment.

12. Acceptance of Policy

By booking or attending an appointment with Stille, the client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted this policy.

The client also confirms that they are responsible for disclosing relevant health, medical and allergy information, and for seeking medical advice where needed before receiving treatment.
